The 2017 Chateau Belair-Monange is a wine of structure and elegance. It brings together black fruits, rich tannins, and good acidity, promising great aging potential. The mineral edge to the wine and powerful tannins are spurred on by the ripe black fruits. This wine is a testament to the privileged terroirs of Saint-Émilion, with a history tracing back to Roman times. The vineyard, spared from frost thanks to its location atop the plateau of Saint-Émilion, carried generous yields. The clay and limestone soils, natural hydric regulators, provided a steady water supply to the vines throughout the drought. The wine is matured in French oak barrels for 16-18 months, adding to its complexity and depth.
