A creative collaboration between The Macallan and pastry chef Jordi Roca, Rich Cacao explores cocoa-infused layers against The Macallan’s oak mastery. Colour is toasted cacao beans; the nose opens with chocolate fondant, honeyed notes, oak and a citrus-ginger lift. On the palate expect dark chocolate, honey, dates, vanilla and cinnamon, supported by maturation in a blend of European and American oak casks. The finish is long and chocolate-forward. Presented in a recyclable gift box made from cacao husks, this release is crafted to pair with fine chocolates but also rewards slow sips neat or with a few drops of water to open the aromatics.
