2014 Alain Hudelot Noellat Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru 克沃格-休德羅諾拉
88
Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2014 tasting, Hudelot-Noëllat's 2014 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru never approached the quality of the Richebourg or Romanée-Saint-Vivant from barrel, and now in bottle, it seemed to stutter along. It has a slightly pinched nose: redcurrant and cranberry, but not much intensity or flow compared to its peers. The palate is medium-bodied with dry and quite firm tannins. I speculated whether there was some whole-bunch fruit in here because it felt a little raw on the finish. It might be just at an awkward phase, but still, the 2015 is surely going to be far superior. Tasted September 2017.
