This 2013 Chateau Latour is a surprisingly soft, charming, and fruit-forward wine with moderate concentration. It boasts a deep ruby/purple color and no herbaceousness. Although not terribly deep or rich, it is an excellent effort that will not hit the market for another 5-7 years given their new policy of holding Chateau Latour until it is deemed ready for sale. The wine is medium-bodied, elegant, soft, and fresh. The wine finishes with a myriad of piquant red fruits, herbs, olives, a touch of salty rocks, and currants. Elegantly styled, this should be ready to go on release.
