Chateau Musar is without doubt Lebanon's top wine estate. Lebanon was ravaged by civil war from 1975 to 1990, but the previous owner Serge Hochar persisted in winemaking and managed to produce exceptional wines under such circumstances. The Decanter Magazine paid tribute to Serge's achievements and nominated him as Decanter's 'Man of the Year' in 1984.
