2010 Domaine Arnoux Lachaux Vosne Romanee 1er Cru Chaumes 維森羅曼尼一級田肖姆 - 安梅賴卡
Producer note: [Note that this domaine used to be called Robert Arnoux.] Pascal Lachaux describes 2010 as a "classic vintage of elegant and pretty wines of finesse and purity. Unfortunately, there won't be much of them as quantities for us were down between 10 and 60% depending on the vineyard. We began picking on the 26th of September and brought in very clean fruit with good sugars and excellent acidities. There was an abundance of shot berries, which on the one hand limited yields but contributed significantly to the overall quality of the harvest. I chaptalized between .3 and .6% of a degree and did a typical vinification. As to the wines, I really like the '10s as they have this really lovely sense of energy to them and in my 20+ years of making wine here, I have never seen better grapes in Nuits than I did this year. They were perfect." Note that the 2010 Nuits villages had just been racked and thus was not presented. The bottled '09s also appear to have turned out well based on the limited sample size.
Tasting note: A notably ripe and elegantly spicy mixture of cassis, black and blue berry plus red pinot fruit gives way to generous, fleshy and quite rich medium-bodied flavors that possess more volume than usual before culminating in an extract-rich finish that carries its structure effortlessly. This will need the better part of a decade to reach its peak.
