2013 Markus Molitor Kinheimer Rosenberg Riesling Auslese** Sweet 馬庫斯梅麗特 - 雷司令金艾瑪羅森伯格精選甜白**
Sourced from the top cru of the village where Markus Molitor lived as a child, the sweet 2013 Kinheimer Rosenberg Riesling Auslese ** offers a clear bouquet of fully ripe Golden Delicious apples and lemons, whereas the cool, smoky or piquant expression of slate is much lesser here than in the likes of Erden, Zeltingen or Ockfen. Also, the acidity is different, more gentle and that's because the slate soil is more weathered and finer here. Markus considers the Rosenberg as the better site compared to the crus in Erden where the slate soils of the steepest parcels are much harder and give another, less fine acidity. Of his his 2013, he admits that he should have harvested a day or two earlier, but this was impossible in 2013 when almost everything was ripe at the same time and Marcus and his team primarily focused on the world famous sites between Zeltingen and Bernkastel. Back to the wine, which is very elegant, quite sweet and juicy on the well-balanced palate, but lacks, perhaps, the piquancy and tension of the finest Molitor Auslesen. However, it is already accessible and might be first choice for people who have problems with the raciness of Riesling.
