A Historic Spanish Winery
Founded by the historic Spanish house CVNE in 1920, Viña Real is deeply rooted in the vineyards of Rioja Alavesa. Built around Tempranillo and the region’s distinctive fruit, acidity, and structure, its wines combine expressive red and black fruit with impressive aging potential. The range includes Crianza, Reserva, Gran Reserva, and barrel-fermented white wine.
山丘上的現代酒莊
位於 Laguardia Cerro de la Mesa 山丘上的 Viña Real 酒莊，於 2004 年由西班牙國王胡安・卡洛斯一世揭幕，建築由法國建築師 Philippe Mazières 設計。圓形木製主體宛如巨型酒桶，順應山勢融入土地；葡萄由接收、發酵到裝瓶，均可在同一座酒莊完成。酒莊亦沿用重力導流理念，減少不必要的泵送與擾動，並利用山體內的隧道與酒窖進行熟成及儲存。
A Modern Winery in the Hills
Set on Cerro de la Mesa in Laguardia, the Viña Real winery was inaugurated in 2004 by King Juan Carlos I and designed by French architect Philippe Mazières. Its circular wooden structure resembles a giant wine vat and blends into the hillside. From grape reception and vinification through to bottling, the process takes place within the estate. Gravity-flow principles help minimise unnecessary pumping and handling, while tunnels and underground cellar spaces support the wines’ maturation and storage.

The Terroir and Patience of Rioja Alavesa
Viña Real’s grapes come from its own vineyards across Labastida, Laguardia, and Fuenmayor, at elevations of approximately 450 to 650 metres. The meeting of Atlantic and Mediterranean influences, together with calcareous clay soils and elevated sites, encourages gradual ripening and balance between fruit, acidity, and tannin. Each bottle reflects the terroir of Rioja Alavesa, the values of its house, and its capacity to mature beautifully over time.
