Crafted by visionary winemaker Daniel Daou, this bottling reflects obsessive vineyard management and gentle extraction, matured thoughtfully in French oak to preserve intense aromatic vitality. The nose reveals an intoxicating cascade of ripe cassis, black cherry, and boysenberry compote, interwoven with cocoa powder, dried sage, and warm sandalwood. On the palate, it delivers impressive weight and structure without losing an ounce of poise; opulent dark fruits meld effortlessly with notes of espresso and crushed minerals. Cashmere-like tannins coat the palate smoothly, culminating in a clean, expansive finish adorned with lingering vanilla and wild blackberries.
