This Barolo presents a layered aromatic profile: lifted floral top notes weave with tobacco, suede and dried cherry, while secondary scents of toast, espresso and warm spice add depth. On the palate it’s full-bodied with lively acidity and powerful, well-textured tannins that frame dark and red fruit, plum, a hint of orange peel and bittersweet chocolate. The wine spent extended time in oak (reported 24 months) followed by further bottle ageing (c. 14 months) which helps integrate spice and toast without overwhelming the fruit. A matching partner for roasted lamb, game and rich mushroom sauces, this is approachable after a good decant yet still offers several years of cellar evolution.
