鍾意shopping，又鍾意飲酒嘅你，黎緊如有機會去米蘭嘅話，記住要去埋位於意大利西北部嘅酒區皮埃蒙特。皮埃蒙特遠係羅馬時代已經以盛產酒而聞名，區內除咗擁有非常多靚葡萄園，更能體驗一流嘅wine tourism，包你滿載而歸。而且好多小型酒莊都依然係由家族所擁有同打理，堅守傳統，盛產高質量葡萄酒。
皮埃蒙特區葡萄園面積加埋超過57萬公頃，土壤夠多樣化，所以可以種植嘅提子品種好多。而法定可釀酒品種就超過10種，不過最為人所知一定係Nebbiolo；因為哩隻提子就係用黎釀做世界知名，頂級意大利佳釀嘅Barolo同Barbaresco。兩款酒嘅共通點都係氣味芳香，味道豐富，酸度均衡，並可陳放多年。Barolo味道更醇厚，亦需要陳放至少5-10年先啱飲。Barbaresco較輕身，果香突出，更典雅細膩，適合年輕嘅時候飲。
今日就為大家揀咗一枝代表到皮埃蒙特，又啱而家即刻飲嘅酒 - Pio Cesare Barbaresco 2004。Pio Cesare係意大利Piemonte最古老嘅酒莊之一，由種植到釀造都由家族負責，更堅守傳統手藝，釀出一枝又一枝嘅傳奇。04而家已完全成熟，除咗香濃嘅紅色水果之外，仲有香料、焦油、甘草，等等典型Barbaresco嘅香氣。

Piedmont is often described as the "Burgundy" of Italy, due to its many small-scale, family wineries and the focus on quality. It’s a hilly region that’s renowned for its fog. Nebbiolo – the most important grapes for the region and has made the greatest contribution to the quality and reputation of its wine. Nebbiolo produces wines with naturally high acidity, full of floral and fruit aromas, and has great ageing potential. Barolo and Barbaresco are the two regions well known for this variety; While Barolo is typically fuller bodied and requires 5-10 years of bottle ageing to fully mature, Barbaresco is ready to drink young, and has a lighter body with more fineness and elegance.
We have selected Pio Cesare Barbaresco 2004, a classic Piemonte, to give you a better idea of the region. Pio Cesare is the family estate and has been producing wines by traditional methods for 135 years. The 2004 Barbaresco is a beautiful wine endowed with expressive aromatics and an attractive core of ripe red fruit. Subtle notes of spices, tar and liquorice add complexity.
