Blank Canvas is the fine wine studio of powerhouse winemaking couple Matt Thomson and Sophie Parker-Thomson MW. With a shared ambition to showcase New Zealand's finest vineyards on the world stage, they craft small-batch wines from exceptional single-vineyard sites that capture the individuality of each place and every season.

With more than 50 years of global wine experience between them, Matt and Sophie combine craftsmanship, curiosity, and a deep respect for provenance to create wines that are expressive, age-worthy, and unmistakably cool-climate New Zealand. Working alongside passionate growers across Marlborough, Central Otago, and Hawke's Bay, as well as their own vineyard in the prestigious Southern Valleys, every wine is a thoughtful, detailed expression of site, season, and terroir.
