Treasure Hunting布根地

上月host咗場tasting, 主題係Burgundy Premier Cru. 世界好現實, 其它topic會滯銷, 有啲甚至完全無反應, cancelled收場, Bur就火速售罄.

今次Premier Cru咪好貴? No喇, 大部份唔係明星級Village!

Burgundy啲出名Village近年好貴, 人所皆知, 1er唔使講, 好很貴, 名牌酒莊甚至skyrocketed, 更很貴. 但係原來比起17世紀年代, 真係小巫見大巫. 當時Bur酒價格比其它產區, 高出10倍, 真係unbelievable!!! 直至Loire興起, 先扭轉成個局面.

今次tasting目的想搵啲性價比高既alternative. Burgundy 有啲產區明明五星級既質素, 但係三星級既價錢, 點解? 好多原因, 有啲關乎歷史, 有啲同market force有關, 有啲衰戇居 … 哩個topic太有深度, 可以出篇論文研究.

研究Bur, 其中一樣最開心, 就係搵到啲粉絲價錢既魚翅 - treasure hunting. Burgundy Village AOCs有44個, Premier Cru更誇張, 有662個, 冠絕法國, 大把希望.

當晚Wine List包括咗

1) Domaine Joliet Fixin 1er Cru Clos de la Perrière Monopole Rouge 2018

2) Domaine Georges Lignier Morey Saint Denis 1er Cru Clos Ormes 2021

3) Domaine Nicolas Rossignol Savigny Les Beaune 1er Fourneaux 2019

4) Domaine Albert Morot Beaune 1er Cru Greves 2014

5) Domaine Fabien Coche Monthelie 1er Les Barbieres 2020

6) Domaine du Meix Foulot Mercurey 1er Cru Monopole Clos du Chateau De Montaigu 2021

印象中最好都係Morey, 夠layer, 深度, 複雜, 唔太fruit driven, 帶啲elegant, structure夠晒, ageing potential應該唔錯. 當然, 佢係6支中最出名既village, 放多幾年更好.

Fixin隔離就係Gevrey, 地塊同Chambertin一樣, 理論上質素極高, 可以land among the stars. 點解咁少人識, 因為產量少, local人飲晒而已. Style同Morey差不多, 但層次少咗啲, 味道無咁well defined.

兩支Beaune style差不多, 果味較多, 單寧較Morey, Fixin粗, 但ripe, 輕身, 較lean, 容易理解, 平易近人, 好typical Beaune既風格.

Mercurey似Beaune風格, 但ageing potential似乎較短, structure, extract level support唔到. 但又係嗰句, 平易近人, 夠elegant.

其中天才釀酒師Nicolas那支較有深度, 較board, 比較鍾意.

無講第5支? 出咗少少意外. Monthelie位處Volnay同Meursault貓鬚之間, 理論上期望好高, 但一開, 全場失控, 因為發現酒既味道要重新定義. 吓, 即係咩? 瀝青, 英文Asphalt. 咩話??? OMG!!!

Monthelie本身特有earthy味, 教科書寫既, 但強到似瀝青, 第一次聞到. 我估類似 pyrazine 既東西, 加埋提子唔夠熟成, 放大咗哩啲味道. 有同學問, 瀝青係咪soil一種? 哈哈, 幾好想像力. 好多人即時瘋狂用杯decant, 想整走啲味. 得唔得呢? 當然唔得. 唔緊要, 咪當識多一個村. 大師兄補充咗句, 做白酒叻既酒莊, 做紅酒有時會出事! 我都跟大師兄學到野.
