Chateau Durfort-Vivens, a 2nd Grand Cru Classé estate, is managed by Jérome Héranval and owned by Gonzague Lurton. The estate spans 65 hectares, with 55 hectares under vine, planted on deep gravel soils. The 2009 vintage benefited from a dry, hot summer, resulting in exceptional grape ripeness and health. The winemaking process includes plot-specific vinification, natural yeast fermentation, and 21 days of maceration, followed by 18 months of aging in 45-50% new oak.
