Tasting note: Bright and energetic on the nose with grapefruit, lemon curd and white peach lifted by honeysuckle and lime blossom; delicate chalk and saline notes give a crystalline edge. On the palate it is medium to medium‑full, driven by racy acidity and citrus tension, finishing chalky and persistent. Producer notes: Blanc de Lynch‑Bages was first released in 1990 and is one of the earlier white bottlings from a Médoc Grand Cru Classé. Produced by the Famille J.M. Cazes, the wine showcases the estate’s commitment to precision and freshness in white winemaking. Winemaking: Around 75% of the juice is fermented in individually temperature‑controlled French oak barrels. The wine is regularly stirred on the fine lees and aged for roughly six months, a strategy that preserves fresh aromas while adding a subtle creamy texture and complexity. Light new oak influence keeps the oak presence discreet. Vineyard notes: Fruit comes from Garonne gravel soils that lend minerality and a stony backbone. Hand‑harvested and sorted in the vineyard to ensure quality of the grapes. Drinking window: 2023–2035. Serving: Serve well chilled but not ice cold; brief decant (about 30 minutes) will open aromas and soften texture.

Château Lynch‑Bages is a Grand Cru Classé estate run by the Famille J.M. Cazes. While best known for its red wines from Pauillac, the domaine has long produced an elegant white cuvée, first released in 1990. The estate combines meticulous vineyard work on Garonne gravel soils with modern cellar practices: careful sorting at harvest, portioned barrel fermentation and attentive lees ageing to craft whites that balance freshness, texture and ageing potential.
