Tasting note
Tasting Note: Expressive aromatics of jasmine blossom, ripe apricot and candied lemon lead into a medium-bodied palate that’s juicy, vibrant and precise. Bright, racy acidity lifts floral layers and a green, flinty mineral thread, finishing crisp and persistent. Producer Notes: From M. Chapoutier Schieferkopf under the Michel Chapoutier umbrella, this Lieu-dit Fels reflects the house’s attention to terroir and organic farming. Grapes are grown organically and handled to preserve purity and freshness. Winemaking Notes: Fruit is harvested with care and vinified to showcase clarity and tension — cool, controlled fermentation and restrained use of oak preserve the wine’s aromatics and lively acidity. The approach favors freshness and mineral expression. Vineyard Notes: Sourced from the Lieu-dit Fels on steep, rocky sites around Schieferkopf, the vines sit on thin, well-draining soils that concentrate flavors and accentuate mineral character. Cooler continental conditions help retain acidity and aromatic precision. Service: Serve well chilled (10–12°C). Light decanting or 30 minutes in the glass helps open floral notes. Drinking window: 2024–2035.
