The 2016 Chateau Leoville Poyferre 'Pavillon de Poyferre' is a bright and attractive wine, bursting with fruit and accessible in its youth. This second wine of Château Léoville Poyferré benefits from the same meticulous care as its prestigious sibling, both in the vineyard and in the cellars. The wine offers a medium-bodied profile with sweet cherries and hints of black licorice, making it elegant and user-friendly. The vineyard, dispersed over 80 hectares of Saint-Julien, reflects the richness and diversity of the appellation, with terrasses of Mindel gravel and sandy-clay subsoil. The wine is aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, all second fill, under the expert guidance of winemakers Isabelle Davin and Didier Thomann.
