Chateau Calon-Segur is a historic estate located in the Saint-Estephe appellation of Bordeaux. Known for its exceptional terroir, the vineyard features a thick layer of gravel with a predominantly clay sub-soil. The estate is owned by Suravenir and the winemaking is overseen by consultant Eric Boissenot. The grapes are hand-picked and undergo meticulous sorting before being fermented in temperature-controlled conical stainless-steel tanks. The wine is aged for 20 months in 100% new French oak barrels, resulting in a wine of great elegance and depth.
