This 1990 Chateau La Gaffeliere is a stylish, medium-weight wine that beautifully combines the flavors of sweet new oak, ripe berry fruit, and floral scents. It has excellent concentration, decent acidity, moderate tannins, and a considerable sense of elegance and richness. This wine is the finest La Gaffeliere since the 1970 and 1947. It is best enjoyed with red meat, cheese, or poultry. The wine should be decanted for about 2 hours before serving to fully appreciate its flavors.
