Showing beautiful,saline-like minerality and a mature, medium-gold color, the 2001 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc offers classic and evolved notes of golden apples, caramelized citrus, honey and chamomile to go with a bright, very fresh, yet full-bodied and balanced personality. It has lots of acidity, but stays nicely balanced and I suspect will continue drinking nicely going forward.
