2021 M. Chapoutier CDP Croix de Bois Rouge

The 2021 M. Chapoutier Chateauneuf-du-Pape Croix de Bois Rouge is a captivating wine that showcases the essence of the Rhone Valley. With an intense red appearance, this wine offers a nose of black fruits and blackberry jam. On the palate, it is unctuous and ample, with warm tannins that provide a delightful structure. The wine is crafted from hand-picked Grenache grapes, vinified in concrete tanks, and aged in tanks for 14 to 16 months. The vineyard's unique soil composition of quartzite shingles and sandy red clay contributes to the wine's distinctive character. This wine pairs beautifully with grilled lamb, roast duck, mature cheeses, and herb-crusted pork.
