In traditional malt whisky making process, malted barley is turned by hand. Some malt men would develop injuries from the intensive work, and could cause their arms to hang down a bit like a monkey's. They nicknamed it 'monkey shoulder' and it became the distillery's name, in honor to its heritage.
Monkey Shoulder is a blend of three Speyside malts. Rich and smooth on the palate, with notes of apple, raisins, cinnamon, honey, vanilla and spices. It is great on its own, but also really excels in whisky cocktails.
