Tasting note
Tasting Note: Bright, refined and terroir-driven. Aromas of green apple, lemon zest and white flowers open to a core of ripe stone fruit and a pronounced flinty minerality. Gentle notes of toasted bread and hazelnut frame a creamy mid‑palate, while vibrant acidity keeps the wine fresh and energetic. The finish is long and focused, with lingering citrus and a subtle spiced oak thread. Producer Notes: From the family-owned Domaine Anne Gros, this bottling reflects the house’s Burgundian attention to site and subtle élevage. The Gros family have a long tradition in the region and aim for wines that show clarity, precision and a sense of place. Winemaking Notes: Hand-harvested fruit is carefully pressed and fermented with a significant portion in French oak barrels, followed by élevage on fine lees to build texture and complexity. Winemaking is attentive and restrained, allowing natural acidity and minerality to shine through while oak integration remains supportive rather than dominant. Vineyard Notes: Sourced from cool-climate, limestone-influenced parcels in Bourgogne Blanc. Low yields and attentive viticulture (including canopy work and selective picking) concentrate flavors and preserve bright natural acidity. Soils impart that classic chalky/mineral backbone which defines the wine’s focused profile. Cellaring & Serving: Drinking window roughly 2022–2027. Best served well-chilled and allowed about 30 minutes after opening to reveal layered aromatics. Excellent with mildly rich white-meat and creamy seafood dishes.
