Chateau Pontet-Canet, located in the heart of Pauillac, is renowned for its commitment to organic and biodynamic viticulture. The estate spans 81 hectares of Quaternary gravel soils, certified by Ecocert and Demeter. Under the guidance of winemaker Jean-Michel Comme and consultant Michel Rolland, the winery employs traditional methods such as hand-harvesting and the use of draft horses to avoid soil compaction. The 2008 vintage, despite a challenging growing season, showcases the estate's dedication to quality and precision.
