A fully rounded Speyside single malt that marries The Macallan’s classic style with the sweeter notes of American oak. Aromas of creamy butterscotch, toffee apple and candied orange lead into a honeyed palate layered with vanilla, wood spices, ginger and citrus. Ripe dried fruit and caramel add depth while oak frames the whisky through a warm, lingering finish. Crafted from spirit matured in both sherry-seasoned American and European oak casks, the Double Cask 12 balances richness and approachability—rich enough for sipping neat, but versatile with a splash of water or over a single large ice cube.

The Macallan Distillery, owned by the Edrington Group, is a cornerstone of Speyside whisky production. Renowned for meticulous cask selection, the distillery sources both American and European oak, including sherry-seasoned barrels, and matures spirit in traditional warehouses. The Double Cask range was created to harmonise The Macallan’s signature style with the sweeter influence of American oak, resulting in accessible, well-balanced single malts.
