品飲筆記:這支23年單一麥芽帶著輕鬆卻有力的個性。入口先是泥煤煙燻與蜂蜜的溫柔甜感,接著有乾果、焦糖與烘烤麥芽的厚實口感,橡木香與溫暖香料在舌面慢慢展開,收尾則以綿長的煙燻與香料餘韻作結。生產背景:來自傳統的高地酒廠,堅持銅器蒸餾與長期木桶熟成,讓泥煤風味與麥芽甜度達到良好平衡。釀造與熟成:採用經典壺式蒸餾器,置於精選橡木桶長期養成,木桶帶來香草、焦糖和細緻單寧但不蓋掉基底的煙燻個性。田野與環境:酒廠周邊是種植麥芽的田地與泥煤地,海風與高地礦質感為成酒注入微咸、乾爽的底蘊。整體口感圓潤飽滿,適合慢飲細品。

Tasting note: Robust and evocative, this 23‑year release from Ardmore opens with a smoky, heather‑peat nose laced with honeyed malt, dried orchard fruit and a hint of coastal salinity. Secondary notes of toffee, vanilla pod and toasted oak lead into a full, rounded palate where roasted barley, brown sugar and warm spice sit alongside restrained leather and dark chocolate. The oak influence is integrated, giving weight and a lengthy, warming finish with lingering smoke and spice. Producer notes: A traditional Highland single malt matured for 23 years in carefully selected oak casks. The house style favours a touch of peat smoke balanced by rich malt character and well-managed oak ageing to preserve vibrancy while adding complexity. Distilling and maturation: Distilled in classic copper pot stills and rested long-term in seasoned oak casks, the spirit develops layered tertiary notes — vanillin, dried fruit and spice — without losing its core smoky identity. The casks impart gentle tannic structure and caramelized sweetness. Vineyard/terroir notes (adapted): Sourced from malted barley grown in northeast Scotland and water typical of the region, the whisky carries the imprint of grassy fields, nearby peat bogs and the maritime edge of the Highlands. Those elements combine to give a smoky mineral seam beneath the sweeter malt aromas.
