Tasting note: Deep garnet colour with an aromatic lift of blackcurrant, ripe plum, cedar and a floral hint of violet. Palate is refined and focused — layered dark fruit, tobacco, graphite and a touch of baking spice, framed by silky tannins and lively acidity. Producer notes: From Château Ferrière in Margaux, this second-label bottling reflects the estate’s gravelly, well-drained vineyards and the owner’s commitment to classic Médoc balance under Claire Villars Lurton. Winemaking: Traditional vinification with careful extraction for elegance rather than brute force; matured in French oak barrels (partial new oak) for around a year to integrate oak spice and preserve freshness. Vineyard: Vineyards sit on Margaux gravel with good drainage and Atlantic influence, producing wines with finesse and ripe, structured fruit. Decant 30–60 minutes to reveal its layers.
