Tasting note: Deep garnet-purple in the glass, this Crozes-Hermitage opens with a perfume of blackberry and dark plum layered with black pepper, dried herbs and a lick of licorice. The palate is concentrated and ripe, showing generous dark-fruit core, lively spice and earthy undercurrents, framed by firm yet supple tannins and a long, velvety finish. Producer notes: From Domaine de Thalabert, part of the Paul Jaboulet Aîné domaine, the 2021 vintage combines careful vineyard work with organic practices to deliver a terroir-driven expression of the northern Rhône. Critics praise its concentration and aging potential. Winemaking notes: Grapes are hand-harvested from the estate sites, fermented to extract depth and spice, then allowed time to integrate.
