A powerful, emblematic Pessac‑Léognan from a storied estate, this 2014 opens with concentrated dark fruit — blackcurrant and black cherry — wrapped in roasted, empyreumatic aromas of cigar box, cedar and dark chocolate. The palate is full-bodied and polished: fresh at its core yet generous, with complex layers that move from ripe fruit to tobacco, spice and discreet mineral echoes. Tannins are substantial but refined, turning silky as the wine breathes; the 18‑month oak ageing gives structure without aggression. Built for the cellar yet seductive now with careful decanting, this is a long‑finish, terroir‑driven wine that balances power and finesse.

Now part of Domaine Clarence Dillon, the domaine combines traditional craftsmanship with modern cellar technology — precise temperature-controlled fermentations and carefully monitored élevage — to produce wines with depth, aromatic complexity and long ageing potential.
