The palate is medium-plus in body with firm, structured tannins and a savoury iron-tinged finish that lingers. Producer notes: From Domaine Coche-Bizouard’s Vieilles Vignes in Pommard, this bottling showcases parcels worked with traditional Burgundian care. The domaine focuses on low yields and precise vineyard selection to let site character speak. Winemaking notes: Fermented using classical methods and matured in French oak, the wine receives careful extraction to preserve freshness and texture while integrating oak-derived spice. Moderate élevage tempers the tannins and gives a polished mid-palate. Vineyard notes: Old-vine fruit from clay-limestone slopes in Pommard yields concentrated flavours and solid structure. Parcels benefit from good sun exposure and cool nights, producing wines with clear definition and age potential.
