Tasting note

Chateau Ferriere 2006 is a classic Margaux wine that showcases the elegance and complexity of the region. With a bouquet of ripe black fruits like blackcurrant and elderberry, complemented by notes of leather, minerality, blond tobacco, and a hint of truffle, this wine is a sensory delight. The palate is dense and structured, with silky tannins and a balanced profile. Spices and black fruits dominate the flavors, leading to a long and powerful finish. Crafted with meticulous care, the wine undergoes plot vinification, natural yeast fermentation, and gentle extraction, followed by 18 months of aging in French oak barrels, 40% of which are new. The vineyard, located in the heart of Margaux, features deep gravels on a limestone substrate, contributing to the wine's unique character. Perfect for pairing with beef, venison, or hard cheeses, this wine is a testament to the artistry of Chateau Ferriere.
