Tasting note: Deep ruby with concentrated aromas of ripe plum, black cherry and gentle blackcurrant, layered with cedar, vanilla and toasted spice from oak. On the palate it feels generous and ripe, broad-shouldered yet refined, with silky tannins, steady acidity and a long, warming finish. Producer notes: This is the second wine from a Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé domaine, produced from selected parcels. The estate balances tradition and modern cellar techniques under the Maison Bertrand Ravache distribution, aiming for approachable generosity in earlier drinking windows while retaining estate character. Winemaking notes: Grapes from choice plots were carefully sorted and fermented with controlled extraction to preserve fruit purity. Matured in oak barrels to add structure and spice without dominating the fruit; gentle racking and blending emphasize balance and drinkability. Vineyard notes: Fruit comes from the limestone and clay soils typical of Saint-Emilion, with parcels on gentle slopes that provide good drainage and sun exposure. Vines are managed to concentrate flavors and maintain healthy phenolic ripeness in the warm 2014 vintage. Service: Serve slightly below room temperature. Decant about 45 minutes to open the aromatic profile and soften the oak edges. Best enjoyed with rich red meat or roasted game.

The wine comes from a Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé estate whose second label is produced from carefully selected parcels. The estate combines traditional vineyard stewardship on limestone-clay soils with measured modern cellar techniques; barrels are used judiciously to add spice and frame the fruit rather than overpower it. Maison Bertrand Ravache is listed among the distributors handling this bottling.
