Tasting note: A luminous pale-gold Champagne with a fine, persistent mousse. Aromas of fresh citrus, white flowers and ripe pear lead into classic autolytic notes of brioche, buttered pastry and toasted almonds. The palate is energetic and vinous — bright acidity cuts through a creamy mid-palate, while layers of stone fruit and subtle savory, nutty complexity build to a poised, long finish. Producer notes: From Delavenne Pere & Fils, this is a Grand Cru reserve cuvée crafted in a traditional, grower-focused style. The house leans on low-dosage philosophy and careful blending of reserve wines to deliver balance and aged character. Winemaking: Crafted by the traditional method with extended lees ageing, this cuvée shows the benefits of autolysis and slow maturation. Gentle lees stirring and precise dosage produce a dry (Brut) wine with toasted pastry and nutty notes alongside bright fruit.
