From the prestigious estate of Château Rauzan‑Segla, this 2013 Segla delivers a poised, expressive character. Aromas open to ripe dark fruit and plum, with cedar, tobacco and a restrained spicy oak note. On the palate it is composed and polished — juicy fruit framed by firm yet refined tannins and a lively backbone of acidity. Maturation in oak adds structure without overwhelming the fruit. The 2013 growing season featured a cold winter, a wet spring, and a hot, stormy summer; harvested late (30 September – 14 October), the wine shows the vintage’s concentrated ripeness balanced by Margaux elegance. A second‑label bottling that mirrors the estate’s signature finesse, best served after a short decant to reveal layered aromas and a lingering finish.
