Tasting note: Talisker Storm opens with a bold maritime nose — campfire smoke, sea spray and honeyed malt, then salted caramel, vanilla and a flash of citrus. On the palate it delivers a compact, spicy core: peat-smoke married to black pepper, espresso tones and a malty sweetness that folds into briny, lingering warmth. Producer notes: Made by Talisker (Diageo) on the Isle of Skye, Storm is a non-age-statement single malt crafted to amplify the distillery’s coastal, smoky character. Winemaking / distilling notes: Distilled from malted barley and matured in a mix of refill and rejuvenated casks to preserve freshness while adding oak spice. The style emphasizes phenolic peat smoke tempered by maritime salinity. Vineyard / sourcing notes: Barley-forward spirit reflecting northern Scottish coastal terroir — sea air, peat-rich soils nearby and a cool, windy climate that define Talisker’s signature profile. Service suggestion: Best enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water; allow 10 minutes’ rest in the glass for aromas to open. Great for sipping alongside smoked fish, strong cheeses or dark chocolate.
Talisker Distillery (Diageo) — perched on the rugged Isle of Skye, Talisker has been producing robust, maritime-influenced single malts for generations. Known for its peaty, peppery signature, the distillery combines traditional floor-malting practices (historically), copper pot still distillation and coastal maturation to create whiskies with pronounced smoke and brine.
