Brick core with amber rim. Mature nose with notes of cheddar cheese, leather and red-berried fruits. Well-structured and quite elegant. Good rich palate with low acidity. Mature and quite classy. Showed well in this vintage horizontal of 1983's. Fine, but nothing amazing. Tasted July 1999.
