Producer notes: Crafted by the Michael Mondavi Family, this wine highlights fruit from Rodgers Creek in the Petaluma Gap — a cool, wind-swept site on the North Coast known for expressive, refined whites. Winemaking notes: Barrel-fermented with careful use of French oak to add spice and texture, the wine benefits from lees contact for creaminess and subtle malolactic conversion to soften edges. The style aims for balance between freshness and oak complexity. Vineyard notes: Rodgers Creek sits in a windy, cool corridor where afternoon breezes and morning fog slow ripening, preserving natural acidity and concentrating flavor. Well-drained soils and hillside exposures produce grapes with ripe fruit and saline-mineral lift. Serve slightly chilled and allow a short decant (about 30 minutes) to open aromas. Excellent with mushroom dishes, rich seafood and roasted white meats.
