The Armagnac Delord story started in 1893. Prosper Delord, a travelling distiller and cellar master, took his alambic from farm to farm, transforming white wine into Armagnac. The distillery is located in Lannepax, the family's native village. The vineyard spans 45 hectares and is divided into 11 parcels, cultivated with the four traditional Armagnac grape varieties. The distillation process, which takes place in winter, uses both continuous and double distillation methods. The cellars house over 1000 barrels and a dozen oak tanks, aging the Armagnac eaux-de-vie, with the oldest vintages kept in glass jars away from light.
