A poised Premier Cru from Les Grandes Ruchottes, this 2021 offers an inviting nose of ripe orchard fruits and lemon zest layered with toasted hazelnut, warm brioche and a hint of wet stone. On the palate it shows a plush, creamy texture balanced by lively acidity and a saline minerality that keeps the wine focused. Gentle oak influence brings spice and toast but does not overpower the terroir-driven core. The finish is long, with citrus peel, subtle honeyed notes and a persistent mineral streak. Producer notes: Château de la Maltroye is known for meticulous vineyard work in Chassagne-Montrachet, selecting low-yielding parcels in top Premier Cru sites. Fruit is harvested by hand and sorted to preserve freshness and purity. Winemaking notes: Fermentation and elevation take place in French oak barrels with a measured proportion of new wood.
