Tasting note: Bright citrus and orchard fruits leap from the glass — lime, lemon-laced orange, ripe pineapple and yellow plum, threaded with dried-strawberry and red-apple nuances and a floral lift of orange blossom. The palate is lightly off-dry up front, immediately refreshed by razor-sharp acidity; juicy and succulent with a delicate creamy note and a long, citrus-salined finish. Producer notes: From Weingut Markus Molitor’s celebrated Urziger Wurzgarten site, this Kabinett is made to showcase site clarity and energetic tension. The Molitor estate blends modern precision with deep respect for old Mosel sites, aiming for purity and age-worthiness. Winemaking notes: Hand-harvested fruit from select parcels was gently pressed and fermented cool to preserve aromatics. Fermentation was managed to retain a touch of natural residual sweetness while preserving vibrant acidity — the hallmark balance of a classic Kabinett. Vineyard notes: The Urziger Wurzgarten is a dramatic, steep-slope vineyard with fractured slate soils that concentrate fruit and lend a mineral backbone. Low yields and meticulous fruit selection from older vines deliver focused intensity and a lively, refined mouthfeel. Drinking window: 2025–2047.
