Nikka 'Miyagikyo' Single Malt Japanese Whisky is a masterpiece from the Miyagikyo Distillery, nestled in the serene Miyagi prefecture valley. Established in 1969 by Masataka Taketsuru, the distillery was designed to contrast with Nikka's Yoichi Distillery, leveraging the unique natural environment and production methods. This elegant whisky, matured in Sherry casks, showcases estery aromas from carefully selected yeast strains, complemented by a distinctive Sherry influence. Its bright golden hue introduces a symphony of spicy, balanced, and candied fruit aromas, leading to a round, long palate with fine bitter notes and a smoky aftertaste. Perfect for pairing with grilled salmon, smoked duck, or aged cheddar.
