Tasting Note: Fresh red berries—cherry, raspberry and hints of wild strawberry—lead the nose, layered with forest-floor aromas, dried herbs and a subtle spice thread. The palate is medium-bodied with lively acidity, fine silky tannins and a mineral undercurrent that frames the fruit. The finish is savory, slightly iron-tinged and persistent. Producer Notes: From a small, terroir-focused project in Gevrey-Chambertin, the Regnard cuvée expresses the identity of a single parcel on the Côte de Nuits. Hand-harvested and produced in modest quantities, the wine reflects an artisanal approach emphasizing site expression and balance. Winemaking Notes: Gentle extraction and low-intervention vinification preserve primary fruit while allowing savory and mineral complexities to develop. Fermentation on native yeasts, careful immaculately-sorted grapes, and élevage in French oak (mixture of older and limited newer barrels) deliver an elegant texture without heavy oak imprint. Vineyard Notes: Sourced from the Regnard parcel on mid-slope sites of Gevrey-Chambertin, with well-drained limestone and clay soils. Vines are tended with a focus on low yields and canopy management to achieve ripe, concentrated fruit and clear mineral delineation. The site’s exposure and soils lend the wine its structure and stony precision.
