Description

This uncommonly exquisite 25 year old liquid is a non-chill filtered marriage of sherried, oaky flavours from second fill European Oak Oloroso sherry casks with sweet vanilla notes from American white oak bourbon barrels, bottled at casks strength.

Tasting note

淺金色的25年拉弗格,第一口就能感受到家喻戶曉的泥煤煙燻與醫藥感,但不只是猛火直衝:雪莉桶帶來的乾果與烤蘋果、波本橡木的香草、以及奶油般的質地一起把層次拉得很長。口感圓潤飽滿、質地近乎乳脂,胡椒與些許鹹味在舌面游走,尾韻多層次且非常悠長。生產上以拉弗格位於艾雷島的泥炭與海風為靈魂,原麥芽在島上風土中風乾并蒸餾,再於大型奧羅羅索雪莉桶與前波本桶交替熟成25年,呈現出煙燻、礦鹽海味與雪莉甜香共存的個性。飲用建議:倒入杯中先靜置約20分鐘讓香氣舒展,或加幾滴水以解放更多果實與香料細節。這款適合慢慢啜飲、配搭煙燻或鹹味食物,享受每一層變化。

Colour: pale gold. Nose: an unmistakable Laphroaig signature—peat smoke and medicinal iodine sit alongside sweet vanilla, wood spice and restrained notes of smoked bacon and dried orchard fruit. Palate: rich, creamy and full in texture with waves of peppery spice, saline minerality, iodine and lingering smoke; a thread of green apple and toffee/apple caramel gives a bright counterpoint. Maturation: expertly married after a quarter century in a mix of large Oloroso sherry butts and ex-Bourbon barrels, letting sherry sweetness and American oak vanilla complement the distillery's coastal peat. Producer notes: bottled at cask-strength character, this 25-year-old retains a youthful energy while showing the depth and complexity age brings — very long, layered finish with a peppery close. Distilling & ageing: distilled at the Laphroaig distillery on Islay, matured in both sherry and bourbon casks in traditional dunnage warehouses; careful cask selection and long maturation produce a bold, multi-dimensional single malt. Serving suggestion: decant or pour and let rest ~20 minutes in the glass to open aromatic layers; a few drops of water can soften the edges and reveal deeper fruit and sherry notes.
