Outpost 坐落於納帕谷豪厄爾山（Howell Mountain）山巔，1998 年正式建莊，但這片山地的葡萄種植歷史早於 19 世紀中葉已開始。如今酒莊隸屬法國 AXA Millésimes 集團（同為 Pichon Baron 與 Quinta do Noval 的東主）。豪厄爾山法定產區以海拔 1,400 呎劃界，而 Outpost 的葡萄園位於 1,800 至 2,200 呎，長年置身雲霧之上——清晨充沛陽光、午後涼風，造就濃郁集中卻不失優雅的獨特山區風格。
Outpost sits high above the fog in the Howell Mountain AVA of Napa Valley. Founded in 1998 on ground that has grown grapes since the mid-1800s, the estate is now part of France's AXA Millésimes group, owner of Château Pichon Baron and Quinta do Noval. While the Howell Mountain AVA boundary is drawn at 1,400 feet, Outpost's vineyards rise from 1,800 to 2,200 feet, where sun-drenched mornings and cool afternoon breezes give the wines their intense yet elegant mountain character.
火山紅土與可持續耕作
酒莊耕耘 44 英畝山地風土：Estate Vineyard（約 19 英畝）種植赤霞珠、仙粉黛與歌海娜；稍低的 True Vineyard（9 英畝）則以赤霞珠為主，輔以梅洛與品麗珠。深層排水良好的棕色與紅色 Aiken 火山黏壤土，賦予酒款標誌性的香料氣息與礦物張力。莊園同時堅持可持續耕作——以山羊清理灌木、冬天讓羊群進園除草，並完成碳農業計劃，守護這片山林生態。
The estate farms 44 acres of mountain terroir: the Estate Vineyard (just under 19 acres) plants Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel and Grenache, while True Vineyard (9 acres) just below grows Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Deep, well-drained brown and red Aiken loam weathered from volcanic rock lends the wines their signature spiciness and mineral tension. Stewardship is equally deliberate—goats clear the underbrush, sheep graze the vineyards in winter, and a completed Carbon Farm Plan keeps the estate sustainable.

Consulting winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown has guided the wines since the beginning. Fruit is hand-harvested at dawn late in the season, each block is fermented separately for precise lot selection, and the wines are neither fined nor filtered—preserving the power, spice, and aging potential of mountain fruit.
