Producer notes: From Chateau de La Tour's Vieilles Vignes parcel in the famed Clos de Vougeot, this 2021 is drawn from old vines that give density and complexity. The domaine, working in the classic Côte de Nuits style, seeks balance between purity of fruit and the savory, earthy character of the site. Winemaking notes: Grapes are handled gently to preserve aromatics; fermentation is traditionally managed with careful extraction and the wine receives extended élevage in French oak (a portion in new barrels) to integrate spice and texture without overwhelming the terroir.
