Tasting note
This Owner's Reserve dry red from the 2020 vintage presents a concentrated bouquet of black plum and ripe cherry layered with baking spice, cedar and a hint of cocoa. On the palate it is medium–full with ripe acidity and polished, silky tannins that carry flavours of dark fruit, tobacco leaf and subtle oak spice. A well structured wine with a long, spicy finish — best opened and gently decanted for about an hour to reveal its aromatic complexity. Producer notes: Crafted as a small-batch Owner’s Reserve, the wine receives careful sorting and selective hand-harvest to ensure quality. Barrel aging in predominantly French oak (a portion new) for extended maturation contributes to its spice and cedar notes. Winemaking notes: Fermentation follows gentle extraction to preserve fruit purity before extended maceration for texture and tannin integration. Maturation on fine lees and attentive racking create a round mid-palate and integrated oak lift. Vineyard notes: Grapes are sourced from low-yield, well-exposed sites with good drainage. Vine density and canopy management aim to concentrate flavours; cooler night temperatures preserve freshness, while daytime warmth encourages ripeness and depth.
