A 25‑year expression from The Glenrothes, this single malt is quietly powerful: rich sherry-cask influence frames a core of dried orchard fruit and bright citrus peel. On the nose expect candied orange, raisin, and toasted oak; the palate unfolds layers of toffee, vanilla pod, nutmeg and subtle baking spices with silky mouthfeel and warming alcohol. Maturation in seasoned oak gives a deep, rounded mid‑palate and a long, layered finish that evolves from sweet to gently dry spice. Producer notes: Crafted by The Glenrothes under the Edrington Group with supervision from Master Distiller Laura Rampling, this limited release highlights the distillery’s focus on careful cask selection and extended maturation to build complexity and balance. Winemaking/distillation notes: Distilled from malted barley at the Speyside distillery, this whisky spent quarter‑century ageing mainly in European and American oak casks with a strong influence from sherry-seasoned wood. No chill filtration preserves texture and aromatic depth. Best enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water to open secondary aromatics.
