Tenuta Garetto is a prestigious wine estate located in Agliano Terme, at the heart of the Nizza area in Piedmont, Italy. Since its acquisition by the renowned Gagliardo family in 2017, the estate has embarked on a journey to showcase the true potential of the Monferrato terroir.
The winery is deeply committed to the Barbera grape, with a primary focus on the Nizza DOCG—an appellation recognized as the pinnacle of Barbera production. A defining feature of Tenuta Garetto is its exceptional heritage of old vines, with some plots dating back to 1935–1950. These venerable vines yield grapes of extraordinary concentration and complexity, forming the backbone of their most distinguished labels. By combining the Gagliardo family’s Barolo-honed expertise with the unique character of Agliano Terme, Tenuta Garetto produces wines that are both powerful and elegant, reflecting a perfect harmony between tradition and modern precision.
