A mature, concentrated red from Padthaway showing layered dark-fruit aromas of blackberry and black plum woven with black pepper, tobacco and cedar. On the palate it is richly styled and full-bodied with warm spice and dark chocolate notes, integrated oak and a smooth, slightly drying tannin profile. The mid-palate carries savory, leathery and earthy accents with a long, sapid finish. Crafted under the direction of Ben Perkins and managed viticulturally by Travis Coombe, this bottling reflects careful vineyard selection and estate-driven winemaking. Best served after a brief, gentle decant to lift tertiary aromatics.
