Tasting note

Bright and poised, this Saint-Aubin Premier Cru from Le Charmois shows a refined interplay of orchard fruit and mineral drive. On the nose, green apple, lemon zest and white flowers unfold, followed by gentle notes of toasted almond, warm pastry spice and a whisper of vanilla. The palate is medium-plus in body with lively acidity that keeps the richness in check — a rounded, slightly creamy texture from lees aging and restrained oak integration lends depth without heaviness. The finish is saline and persistent, inviting another sip. Ideal now with a short rest in the glass or gentle decanting to open up tertiary notes developed since the vintage.

Winery

Domaines Famille Picard: a Burgundian domaine with multiple holdings across the Côte de Beaune. Known for classical winemaking with careful vineyard work, their Premier Cru parcels in Saint-Aubin are tended to favor low yields, old-vine concentration and cellar techniques that balance oak, lees aging and freshness.
